10 QUESTIONS FOR AN MMDA TRAFFIC ENFORCER
They work whether under the rain or under the intense heat of the sun having only one goal, to constantly provide the smooth flow of traffic.
Meet KUYA BENNY, a traffic enforcer.
QUESTION 1: Paano po kayong nagsimula bilang isang traffic enforcer? (How did you start as a traffic enforcer.)
(They posted about the need of enforcers and I tried to submit my application. Fortunately, I got accepted.
(How do you prepare yourself for your line of work?)
(You should eat right and rest on time.)
QUESTION 3: Mahirap po ba maging traffic enforcer? (Is it difficult to be a traffic enforcer?)
(I sometimes say to myself that my job is difficult since some drivers don’t know how to abide to traffic rules.)
(How can you say that you are doing your job as a traffic enforcer well and correct?)
(If you apply the law to everything.)
(How do you earn trust as a traffic enforcer?)
(Whenever I talk to them about traffic rules and their violations. Maybe it would be enough for them to be able to understand that I am doing my job well.)
(At what day of the week are there the most number of people and vehicles on the street?)
KUYA BENNY: Kapag lunes. (During Monday.)
(Have you experienced an accident while on duty?)
(I got hit by a speeding car before but I only got minor injuries.)
(How do you start your day as a traffic enforcer?)
(I fix the stuff that my family needs first then I go to work.)
(What are your dreams for your children?)
KUYA BENNY: Sana makapagtapos muna sila ng pag-aaral. (I wish that they finish their studies first.)
(What is your first priority on your list of dreams and ambitions?)
KUYA BENNY: Makapagtayo ng sariling bahay. (To own a house.)

If you lie down right smack in the middle of the Ramon Magsaysay building’s plaza along Roxas Blvd, this would be your view.    But why would you do that?   Here’s a photo.  :)
